1 day ago Be among the first 25 applicants 48 hours per fortnight | Fixed Term Part Time (Parental leave cover) $55.97 per hour (RN28) About The Role Join the Nursing and Midwifery Education Unit at Grampians Health as our next Clinical Support Nurse (Transition to Practice Program – Graduates). This position will provide support to early career nurses across all clinical areas of Grampians Health (GH) Ballarat. Working with the Transition to Practice Team, you will provide direct clinical support and instruction to program participants, and mentor graduates and newly appointed or less experienced employees to develop high‑quality clinical skills. If you are a Registered Nurse with an interest in Clinical Supervision and Support we would love to hear from you Key Responsibilities Work alongside graduates as allocated for majority of the shift time to support within the clinical setting. Provide feedback and evaluation of graduate nurse’s performance. Participate in teaching and learning activities including the delivery and facilitation of clinical study days and monitor graduates’ attendance and readiness for designated client care experiences. Supervise graduates and the care they provide to allocated clients; and liaise with NUMs in regard to graduate requirements and clinical needs. Demonstrate an empathy and understanding of all graduates/consumers and communicate with graduates/consumers in an effective appropriate manner. Support clinical staff to adhere to safety features of PPE, HH, and safe manual handling. Skills & Experience A tertiary qualification in nursing practice and registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Agency as a Registered Nurse. A tertiary qualification in field of adult education and/or Cert IV in TAE, or working towards. An understanding of education frameworks including Best Practice Clinical Learning Environment Experience working within the healthcare setting, well‑developed understanding of all clinical areas. Well‑developed IT skills, written and verbal skills. Interested?
