We are looking for a Process Chemist with a background in synthetic organic or medicinal chemistry to join our team in the Biotech/R&D sector. Experience in process/scale-up chemistry, formulation and/or analytical chemistry is highly desirable. This is a full-time position. About the Role: This is a diverse role with training provided. Key responsibilities include: Conducting synthetic medicinal chemistry/chemistry research within a range of projects for national and international clients Facilitating scale-up from laboratory to trial/pilot and full-scale batches for existing and new products, including assessment of process safety and optimisation Performing purification of materials to required qualities and standards Carrying out analytical and quality control processes, encompassing NMR, HPLC, GC, FT-IR, DSC and other in-house techniques as appropriate Key experience and attributes include: A tertiary qualification in Chemistry (PhD, MSc or BSc (Hons)/BSc are all acceptable) Minimum two (2) years of experience in a similar role i.e., ability to conduct hands‑on lab work Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to perform directed instructions accurately Ability to meet deadlines and prioritise workload Ability to work independently and as part of a team Time management and organisational skills Flexibility and initiative Punctual Ability to commute: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required).
