Night Attendant

Mercure Charlestown is looking for someone to join our small Front Desk team. The role of NIGHT ATTENDANT is a role based at the hotel overnight and a private night room is provided where you would be on‑call between 10pm and 7am to respond to any guest enquiries or issues. The successful applicant will be available to work Saturday and Sunday nights (10pm until 7am). As this role involves on‑call duties, an allowance of $110 per night is paid on a casual basis. Additional on‑call nights are available as holiday cover for other team members. Key responsibilities & duties A private night room is provided with bed, TV, lounge chair and small kitchenette. Greet any late arrivals and ensure they are checked in with a friendly service including taking payment if necessary. On‑call between 10pm and 7am to respond to any guest enquiries or issues (including minor maintenance issues, key/access problems, questions in relation to hotel services). Applicants must have Impeccable grooming and presentation (especially important given you may need to be woken and attend to a guest issue). Available to work nights including public holidays. Be able to resolve minor maintenance issues from TV settings to air conditioner remote controls. Must have unrestricted eligibility to work in Australia. Hold a valid and current RSA certificate (or willing to obtain certificate prior to commencement).
