Full Time Duty Manager / 2-IC – Palace Hotel, Mortlake We're on the hunt for a motivated Duty Manager / 2-IC to join our vibrant team. The Palace Hotel is an iconic pub that has a thriving bistro and offers comfortable budget accommodation. This is your chance to step into a key role with Young Hotels – a growing hospitality group with 6 hotels across Sydney and a new venue in the Riverina. The Role As the Duty Manager / 2-IC, you'll be at the heart of daily operations, working closely with the Licensee to keep the hotel running smoothly. You'll: Lead and support the bar, bistro, gaming, and front‑of‑house teams Oversee reservations, reception, housekeeping, and security Make sure compliance, RSA/RCG/TAB, and safety standards are always met Jump in where needed to keep the guest experience seamless Handle guest feedback and turn challenges into wins Lead by example and motivate your team, while being open to feedback yourself About You We're looking for someone with: At least 2 years management experience in a busy licensed venue (gaming experience essential, accommodation a plus) Current RSA, RCG and Advanced RCG Confidence in compliance and incident management A flexible, hands‑on approach and genuine commitment to service Leadership qualities, you inspire by doing, and you grow by listening Australian work rights required for this position Why Join Us?
