The Football Analyst reports to the NRL Head Coach and NRL Video Performance Analyst and is principally responsible for supporting the NRL Video Performance Analyst and has key relationships with the following: NRL Head coach NRL Video Performance Analyst NRL assistant coaches IT support network General Manager of Football Analysis interns NRL playing group Benefits, Task & Responsibilities The Football Analyst is required to perform the following duties: ensure all analytical equipment is maintained and readily available for training sessions maintain infrastructure and IT solutions for application of performance analysis and coaching film all training sessions to ensure coaches are able to conduct analysis during and post session ensure footage is coded and organised appropriately, and available on servers in a timely manner conduct opposition preview analysis (statistical analysis focus) generate reports and statistical feedback on opposing teams and individual players construct strategic data models for team and individual performance appraisal assist with generating presentations, graphic design of the same and video telestration assist with the development and implementation of performance analysis solutions for match day send relevant data/video to players and coaches on distribution platforms manage IT software/systems relevant to coaching and analysis coordinate with and manage data/resources from key stakeholders pertaining to coaching and analysis Qualification & Experience Essential Minimum 3 years part‑time or student placement in a high‑performance team setting A qualification at degree level in sports coaching, sports management, sports science, or related discipline Desirable Experience as a football/data analyst in professional or semi‑professional rugby league club Ability to demonstrate fundamental understanding of the basic principles and rules of rugby league Sound knowledge of performance analysis systems and practices About Company Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles Limited (MWSE) is an Australian professional rugby league club based in Brookvale in Sydney’s Northern Beaches.
