About The Role Join Tyro’s Finance Data & Analytics team as a Data Analyst and turn raw data into decisions that move the business. In this pivotal role, you’ll unlock insights from our data infrastructure, ensure they’re accurate and clearly communicated, and translate them into actionable recommendations that drive commercial outcomes across Tyro. If you love turning complex datasets into simple, high‑impact stories that influence strategy, this is the place to make a tangible difference. What You’ll Do Work closely with cross‑functional teams, including Growth, Marketing, Finance, and Product, to understand their business challenges and requirements. Provide actionable, data‑driven insights that directly support strategic and operational decision‑making. Master the art of data storytelling, translating complex analytical findings into clear, concise, and narrative‑driven insights for non‑technical stakeholders. Design and deliver compelling data visualisations (using tools like Tableau) that resonate with line‑of‑business users. Conduct in‑depth ad‑hoc analyses to address specific business questions and opportunities, providing timely and accurate insights from our cloud data warehouse environment. Query and analyse data efficiently within cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake). Understand how to navigate and retrieve data from various systems of record, including CRM platforms like Salesforce, to build comprehensive business views. Ensure the integrity and quality of data used for analysis through adherence to established data governance practices. Understand and support efforts to maintain compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Document analytical processes and reports. Provide guidance and training to end‑users on how to effectively use dashboards and interact with data for self‑service insights. Support the implementation and adherence to robust definitions for core business metrics (e.g., "Churn Rate," "Customer Lifetime Value"), ensuring semantic clarity and consistency across all analytical outputs. Understand the principles of predictive framing and contribute to translating business questions into behaviourally driven metrics. Support the establishment and growth of data science capacity by interpreting model outputs and communicating their implications effectively to business stakeholders. What You’ll Bring Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Information Technology, or a related discipline. 2+ years of demonstrated experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar commercial analytics‑focused role. Highly proficient in SQL, with proven experience writing performant queries within a cloud data warehousing environment. Strong experience with leading data visualisation tools such as Tableau, Alteryx, Power BI, or Looker, with a portfolio of impactful dashboards and reports. Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable business insights and present them effectively to non‑technical audiences. Experience working with CRM data models, preferably Salesforce, or other key business systems. Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing business challenges. Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders. Familiarity with data transformation and ETL/ELT concepts and contributing to understanding data flow processes. Understanding of cloud data warehousing concepts relevant to efficient data retrieval and performance. Experience with advanced analytical techniques or supporting early‑stage data science initiatives. What’s in it for you?
