Senior Dietitian – Grade 2 – Full Time – Bendigo, Victoria – End Date: November 27 Job Requisition ID: JR- (26 days left to apply) Overview We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Dietitian to join our dynamic Allied Health team at St John of God Bendigo Hospital on a permanent full‑time basis. In this role you will provide clinical nutrition services across inpatient rehabilitation, medical, surgical, oncology, and ICU settings, while also managing a small outpatient caseload. Responsibilities Provide clinical nutrition services to inpatients and outpatients, managing complex cases. Coordinate special dietary requirements for patients and support medical, nursing, catering and allied health professionals within the Division and external agencies. Act as a consultant to the hospital catering service, informing menu development and compliance with hospital nutritional standards. Document patients' medical nutrition therapy in the approved manner. Participate in multidisciplinary activities such as team meetings, ward rounds, and case conferences. Deliver education programmes within the dietetics service and for other caregiver groups. Develop and review dietary education resources. Supervise, instruct and assess dietetic junior caregivers and students in approved clinical teaching programmes. Promote professional values and ethics in clinical practice. Lead mentoring and development of junior staff and students, fostering a culture of continuous learning and clinical excellence. Participate in other Divisional activities as assigned. Qualifications Tertiary qualification in Dietetics and eligible for full membership with Dietitians Australia (DA). Proven experience in providing clinical education and supervision to junior staff and students. Advanced clinical expertise in planning and implementing comprehensive nutritional assessments. Demonstrated knowledge of evidence‑based practice, research and related clinical areas. Commitment to patient‑centred care and the organisation’s Mission and Values. Benefits Salary: $95,432 to $114,129 (pro‑rata for part‑time) plus 12% superannuation. Permanent full‑time role working 38 hours per week; part‑time applications will also be considered.
