SMSF Accountant

We are looking for a proactive and experienced SMSF accountant to join our dynamic and growing team. In this role, you'll manage a portfolio of SMSF clients , provide expert advisory, and ensure compliance across all aspects of SMSF administration. Apply your strong knowledge of SMSF regulations and compliance requirements to deliver accurate outcomes and ensure clients remain aligned with legislative obligations. Assist in delivering practical and strategic advice on SMSF matters including contributions, pensions, and investment strategies. Build on your client‑facing experience. Liaise confidently with clients, auditors, and stakeholders, taking the lead in key interactions and providing a consistent, professional client experience. Work closely with Partners, Directors, and Managers in a supportive team environment. Continue progressing with your CA qualifications (if not already completed) and take advantage of frequent training opportunities, both technical and practical. What You Will Bring Proven Practical Experience: 4+ years of hands‑on experience in accounting and tax compliance for SMSF clients. Client Engagement & Communication: Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders. Technical Proficiency: Solid working knowledge of SMSF legislation and compliance, with experience in preparing SMSF accounts and tax returns. Proficiency with BGL360 and familiarity with SMSF Class administration software is desirable. Team Collaboration & Leadership: A team player who contributes to a positive culture and experience in mentoring junior staff.
