About the role Wollongong City Council is dedicated to providing high‑quality swim instruction to children and adults of all ages and skill levels. In this casual position you will teach swim lessons, promote water safety, and foster a love for swimming in a fun and supportive environment at Beaton Park Leisure Centre. Responsibilities Conduct swim lessons for children and adults, helping them develop proper swimming techniques and skills. Evaluate each student’s performance during swim sessions and provide constructive feedback. Complete attendance, progress, and accident reports accurately. Ensure all swimming aids and equipment are in good working order. Maintain a safe and clean pool area. Qualifications Current Austswim Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety Certificate or equivalent. Current HLTAID009 – Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certification. Paid NSW Working With Children Check Number. Suitably fit to undertake the duties as outlined in the job description. Working hours & Pay Casual shift working hours can start from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm and afternoon shifts from 3:30 pm to 7:00 pm (7 days a week). Salary: $ per hour inclusive of 25% casual loading plus superannuation.
