We take and sell photographs at tourism attractions in more than 10 countries and over 180 attractions, including aquariums, observation wheels, zoos, theme parks and more; if it’s a fantastic attraction with a story to tell, we’re there About the Role Reporting to the General Manager APAC, the Head of Operations will lead our Asia, Australia & New Zealand regions to operational excellence, ensuring we meet and exceed all financial and performance targets. A critical focus of this role involves building and scaling profitable regional operations committed to high‑quality delivery. You hold ultimate commercial accountability for the region’s performance and must be able to provide structure, inspiration, and motivation to a senior team of Regional Managers. Beyond overseeing the management of operational sites, you will act as the strategic account manager for key partnerships, ensuring these relationships are maintained at the highest level and all major initiatives and innovations are delivered to our partners on time, within budget, and within specification. Your leadership will leverage strong industry knowledge to help the business capitalise on new opportunities and continuously improve operational performance alongside regional support teams. High‑Level Accountabilities Hold ultimate commercial accountability for the APAC region, driving Site Contribution (Operational Profit) and exceeding all financial and performance targets. Directly manage, coach, and mentor the Regional Managers across all territories, developing succession plans and building a strong, high‑performance culture. Act as the key account manager for strategic sites, ensuring partner relationships are maintained at the highest level and all initiatives are delivered flawlessly. Lead the creation and execution of strategic plans for growth and development, driving continuous improvement across regional operations and systems. Ensure transparent, accurate, and timely reporting to the General Manager, providing commentary on market performance and business performance. Provide clear communication and promote a company vision and team culture consistent with Magic Memories’ core values. Overall responsibility for ensuring Health & Safety processes are embedded and promoted across all Australian, New Zealand, and Asian operational sites. About You Tertiary qualified, together with 3 to 5 years’ senior leadership experience in a customer‑focused business environment. Proven experience in the retail, tourism and/or amusement industry(s) is preferred. Strong Leadership experience with a proven track record of leading, inspiring, motivating, engaging and directing teams. Experience interpreting and developing financial reporting, including P&Ls and budgets. Experience in leading, promoting and driving cultural change with significant employee ownership. Significant capability in developing team members’ skills and improving team members’ competency. Well‑developed commercial capacity and sales capability with a strong focus on relationship management. Highly developed capacity to develop and maintain quality relationships with key stakeholders. Effective communication style, able to engage at all levels from frontline operations to the Board room. Competent knowledge of contract and tender processes, systems, terms and conditions. Competent knowledge of relevant OH&S legislation and practices. Flexibility to travel nationally as and when requested. You must have the right to work and live in Australia to be considered.
