Company Overview Springwood Smiles is a thriving dental practice dedicated to delivering top-notch oral healthcare services to our community. Our team is passionate about creating a comfortable and friendly environment for our patients, and we are currently seeking a motivated and professional Dental Assistant / Receptionist to become an integral part of our growing practice. Daily tasks and responsibilities As part of our team of dental professionals, your day will encompass a diverse range of activities, some of these may include : Assisting dentists with a variety of dental procedures Preparing for and cleaning up after procedures. This includes the preparation of materials used in these treatments, sterilizing and disinfecting instruments. Assisting the dentist during these procedures e.g. passing instruments, operating suction apparatus, recording treatment information in patient records. Efficient administration of the practice including stock control. Developing and mounting X-rays and operating digital imaging equipment. Acting as the first point of contact for patients at reception - taking payment, scheduling appointments, preparing them for procedures, explaining courses of prescribed treatments, updating patient records. Skills and qualifications Experience working within a similar role or Certificate III / IV in Dental Assisting is highly regarded. Dental x-ray and infection control certification or willing to obtain them. Preferred experience with using Dentally dental software. Experience using computers for a variety of tasks including MS Word processing and data entry for administrative duties. Good written and verbal communication skills. Consistently professional appearance and attitude. Able to provide great patient care. You must have Necessary immunisation required to work in a health care setting. Understand and adhere to ADA infection control guidelines. Working with children and police clearance. Working rights in Australia. Immediate Start #J-18808-Ljbffr
