Trade Assistant – Ryde Depot We’re looking for a driven individual with basic to intermediate mechanical knowledge to join our team as a Trade Assistant. This role provides support to our mechanical tradespeople and wider workshop based team to ensure our high standards in maintaining and upkeeping our fleet are consistently met. What We Offer: Earning Potential: Up to $85,000 inclusive of overtime loading and generous allowances, inclusive of super. Base Rate: $31.21 - $35.81 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Attendance Allowance: $15.08 payable on rostered worked hours. Annual Leave: Loading of 17.5% - 20% (dependent on consecutive shift type and pattern). Up to 5 weeks annual leave (dependent on consecutive shift type and pattern). 15 days sick leave accrued annually. Eligible for long service leave after 7 years . Ongoing Training and Development: Opportunity to undertake additional training and certifications. Exposure to Advanced Technologies: Assist with a range of vehicles, including Euro 5 & 6 technologies. Role Responsibilities: Removal and fitment of Window Film Tint to vehicles. Applying decals and undertaking other project activities as required. Performing minor repairs and service of vehicles and equipment within skill level under supervision. Moving buses within the yard, parking and refuelling them. Pick‑up and delivery of parts and other objects as directed by the Workshop Supervisor or Leading Hand. General yard/workshop cleaning and maintenance. Store duties as and when required by the supervisor. Performing other general, non‑trades services as directed. Adhering to all Work, Health & Safety requirements while performing duties. Maintaining clean workshop practices and compliance with WHS regulations. Highly Regarded: Experience in a similar role and environment is preferred, but we are willing to train. Medium Rigid (MR) or higher licence class.
