The Team This permanent opportunity is within the Grid & Power Systems team of the Wholesale Trading & Transition business unit. You will work collaboratively with a passionate team focused on moving the National Electricity Market toward a low‑emissions grid. About The Role You will be critical to the development and delivery of utility‑scale storage projects (> $500 m) as EnergyAustralia transitions to a high‑renewable, low‑emissions NEM. Reporting to the Head of Grid & Power Systems, you will support two key projects—one in the approval stage before FID and one in the execution/delivery stage. You will manage the full end‑to‑end grid‑connection process from concept through approvals to completion and operations, covering R0 to R2 testing and commissioning. Key Functions Commercial contract negotiation Risk, schedule, and resource management Grid connection process management Connection studies and technical expertise Financial modelling supporting project optimisation About You We look for a candidate with dedication to process and strong technical and commercial skills. Desired qualifications, skills and experience include: Tertiary qualifications in electrical engineering or another quantitative discipline Effective communication, negotiation, and influencing skills across technical, commercial, legal, and regulatory aspects of grid connections Experience in power‑system modelling (e.g., PSS/E, PSCAD, PowerFactory) and analysis for grid connections, including steady‑state load flow, fault level, harmonics, and dynamic/transient stability studies Knowledge of storage technologies, especially grid‑forming and grid‑following inverter performance characteristics (advantageous) How To Apply If you are ready to join us in building a sustainable, reliable, and affordable energy future, click the 'Apply' button.
