The Role: We are seeking a qualified Carpenter with strong remedial building experience to join our growing team in Revesby. The successful candidate will perform high‑quality carpentry work, manage small teams or subcontractors, and contribute to the successful delivery of projects from start to finish. Key Responsibilities: Study and understand drawings and specifications to determine materials required, dimensions and installation procedure. Construct building frameworks, including walls, floors, and doorframes and install structures and fixtures, such as windows and molding. Install structural and non-structural components, including framing, joinery, linings, and formwork. Able to install joinery items to a good standard (kitchens, storage units, doors, skirting). To be able to operate tools, machines and other equipment and assess the quality of woodwork and materials. Build scaffolding and other construction structures. Crafts furniture with fine details work and/ or utmost sturdiness and quality. Ensure work meets safety and quality standards. Collaborate with team members and follow project plans. Interpret construction drawings, specifications, and building codes accurately. Perform all aspects of carpentry to a high standard, including measuring, cutting, assembling, and finishing. Identify and rectify defects or non‑conforming work. Handle and store materials correctly, focusing on waste minimisation. Collaborate effectively with other trades to ensure projects run smoothly. Lead and motivate small teams and subcontractors where required. Skills & Experience Required: Strong remedial building experience with proven trade skills. Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities. Strong leadership, organisational, and scheduling skills. Attention to detail, reliability, and integrity.
