The Role Austunnel is currently seeking a motivated, hands-on Trade Assistant / Yard Person to join our team for site establishment work. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys physical work, takes pride in maintaining a clean and organised workspace, and is eager to support a busy operations team. This role is diverse and physically active, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job done The Successful Applicant Will Have the Following Skills and Attributes Previous labouring or site experience (around 6 months or more) Forklift licence (mandatory) HR licence (desirable but not essential) Safety-focused, reliable, and team-oriented Ability to undertake a physical role (manual handling/standing) Commitment to meet our quality and safety standards Can follow instructions and work as part of a team Basic physical fitness and ability to lift heavy loads Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Ability to work autonomously Initiative and can-do attitude What You’ll Be Doing Fencing, Site clean up and Operating equipment Manual labour duties such as loading/unloading, Operating a Bobcat / excavator Moving and loading materials and equipment Using basic hand and power tools Assist tradespeople, contractors, and operators with general labouring assistance. Assist in the fabrication of materials constructed in accordance with project requirements. Ensure the work area, tooling, and equipment is clean, tidy, safe, and ready for use.
