Senior Legal Counsel - Corporate & Customer Transactions Indara, St Leonards, New South Wales, Australia Job Type: Maximum Term Contract – Full time Job Description Reporting to the General Counsel – Corporate & Customer Transactions, this 12‑month maximum term role (full‑time or part‑time) covers a parental leave period. You will advise on a wide range of challenging corporate/commercial matters, including general commercial transactions, tower access and service agreements, corporate finance, property and asset acquisitions, long‑term leasing, new business opportunities, and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities Provide timely, commercial legal advice on customer contracts, services agreements, construction and subcontracting, partnering and joint venture arrangements. Lead acquisitions work including due diligence, drafting, negotiation, and post‑close integration. Manage regulatory and compliance issues relating to trade practices, telecommunications, environmental, planning and OH&S laws. Prepare and submit documents to governmental authorities. Develop corporate finance legal support, including capital structure and governance matters. Address new business projects such as bids, tenders, and property management agreements. Manage external counsel, negotiate with counterparty solicitors, and administer contracting and risk management systems. Resolve disputes and litigation where possible; provide legal support to senior management on legislative developments. Implement compliance measures (SARB, Corporations Act) and champion continuous improvement and technology‑ solutions. Experience Practising certificate and tertiary qualification from a recognised university. Minimum 7+ years PQE; law firm and in‑house experience preferred. Strong transactional experience in commercial drafting, negotiation and contracting. Experience negotiating service contracts (upstream and downstream). Commercial property and/or corporate law experience. Experience drafting Master Access Agreements. Experience in mergers and acquisitions and oversight of agreements such as Tower Transfer Agreements. Dispute management, including debt recovery. Exposure to telecommunications, technology, and planning law.
