Ayan Infotech is looking for a Data Architect with strong experience in AWS Services for a fixed term 12 months contract in Sydney or Melbourne. Due to the nature of the work involved, we can only consider candidates with full unrestricted work rights in Australia. Title: Data Architect (AWS Services)Location: Sydney or MelbourneType: Fixed term 12 months contract Required Skills and Experience: Proven experience (10+ years) in solution architecture for large-scale data platforms. Strong expertise in AWS services (S3, Redshift, Glue, Lambda, etc.) and SQL skills. Hands‑on experience with Apache Iceberg and modern lakehouse + data warehouse architectures. Data Modelling: Proficiency in designing normalized and denormalized models, star/snowflake schemas, and data vault modelling. Familiarity with ERWin will be advantageous. ETL/ELT Design: Experience with data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration frameworks. Performance Optimization: Ability to design for scalability, query performance, and cost efficiency. Metadata & Cataloging: Familiarity with data catalog tools and lineage tracking. Security & Compliance: Knowledge of encryption, IAM, and regulatory requirements.
