Job Type: Permanent position | Full time position Job Title: QA Engineer (ANZSCO: ) Location: Brisbane City, Australia Employment Type: Full-Time Job Description About the Role Nexus Division is seeking a detail-oriented QA Engineer (ANZSCO: ) to join our quality assurance team in delivering robust testing frameworks across our digital transformation initiatives. This role involves validating end-to-end functionalities across enterprise applications, mobile platforms, and web-based systems with a strong focus on regression coverage, defect traceability, and automation improvement. Key Responsibilities Test Planning & Strategy: Develop and execute test plans and cases based on functional specifications and business requirements. Cross-Platform QA Execution: Perform functional, integration, regression, usability, and system testing across web, iOS, and Android platforms. Defect Lifecycle Management: Log, track, and prioritize defects using industry tools such as JIRA and HP ALM, ensuring proper traceability and resolution documentation. Mobile Application Testing: Conduct manual and exploratory testing on Android and iOS apps, covering biometric authentication and payment validation workflows. API and Web Services Testing: Execute REST and SOAP-based service validation using tools like SoapUI, JMeter, and REST clients. Automation Exposure: Contribute to test automation using Selenium IDE and enhance reusability through data-driven and keyword-driven frameworks. UAT & BA Coordination: Collaborate with Business Analysts during User Acceptance Testing to verify and validate solution deliverables. Test Documentation: Maintain traceability matrices, test results, and QA dashboards, and present QA metrics during Agile ceremonies. Load & Performance Testing: Support load testing activities using Visual Studio and JMeter, analyzing and documenting system behavior under stress. Key Requirements Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent industry experience). Experience: Minimum 2 years in quality assurance roles with demonstrated experience across mobile, web, and backend systems testing in Agile environments. Technical Skills Required Testing Tools: HP ALM, TestLink, Selenium IDE, Quick Test Pro. Bug Tracking & Management: JIRA, Quality Center. Web & Mobile Testing: HTML5, Android, iOS, cross-platform QA methodologies. API Testing: SoapUI, REST Client, JMeter, Groovy scripting. Load Testing: Visual Studio Load Test. Database & Scripting: MySQL, SQL queries for backend validation. Methodologies: Agile Scrum, STLC, UAT coordination. Languages: Java, JavaScript, VBScript. Desirable Skills Strong knowledge of SDLC and STLC. Experience in e-commerce or financial application testing. Exposure to test automation frameworks (data-driven, keyword-driven, BDD). Excellent verbal and written communication. Proven problem-solving and analytical skills. Why Join Us?
