Editor, ABC Western Plains Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) Location: Dubbo, NSW Work type: Full-time | Ongoing Salary: Circa $120,000 – $133,000 + 15.4% ABC Nominated Super. The Role Lead editorial planning and content gathering for ABC Dubbo across multiple platforms. Drive local news stories aligning with ABC News objectives. Build strong relationships across the P&C division to achieve shared goals. Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes. Take ownership of work, ensuring reliability, accountability, and professionalism. The Job Lead and develop the team to achieve shared objectives and build a high-performance culture. Under direction of the Regional Editor, identify local content that can be shared with state and national teams across the ABC. Manage implementation of the Local Emergency Coverage plan and communicate with stakeholders. Plan and deliver local community activities and national projects to connect with communities and build audience reach and engagement. About You With strong editorial skills, the ability to source and analyse information and exercise reliable judgement, you are also a strong multi-tasker. You’ll Have A passion for learning and understanding the issues of the local audience. Demonstrated significant experience in leading, inspiring and developing teams with diverse backgrounds. Superior organisational, planning and communication skills; excellent problem solving, prioritising and troubleshooting skills.
