To do this, we need to support our people and provide an exceptional employee experience — and that’s where you come in Our People Services team is seeking a motivated HR Officer (known internally as a People Officer) to join us on a 7‑month fixed‑term contract. This is a high‑volume role, where you will provide efficient administrative support and first‑line HR advice to employees and leaders at Australian Retirement Trust (ART). In the initial phase of your contract, the primary focus of the role will be to provide dedicated onboarding support for a key project, ensuring accurate coordination, documentation and data management throughout its delivery. You’ll also work closely with the People Business Partnering team to assist with the implementation of HR initiatives and outcomes across the organisation. Attention to detail is essential, with a significant component of the role involving the accurate and timely management of HRIS data and systems, as well as preparation of HR documentation. Experience in payroll, recruitment, and HRIS systems will be highly regarded. And, of course, excellent communication skills and a strong customer‑service mindset will be key to your success. We have two fixed‑term contract opportunities each for 7 months based in Brisbane. About You It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top‑notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It’s quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too: Prior experience in a similar role providing HR administration and coordination in a fast‑paced environment Ability to understand and provide advice on the application of enterprise agreements, HR legislation and internal policies Exposure to operating with confidential information and exercising the highest degree of discretion Proven ability to effectively plan, prioritise and manage multiple and competing activities to meet business expectations and deadlines Attention to detail and the ability to think laterally to devise solutions Highly developed communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate and negotiate in writing and verbally with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or studying towards this (desired, but not essential).
