Paediatric and adult dental anaesthetist We are expanding our paediatric day case anaesthesia service for dentistry and frenectomy with casual/part-time consultant paediatric anaesthesia positions commencing in January 2026. This offers a unique opportunity to provide hospital-quality care to children in community dental general anaesthesia facilities. Key highlights of the role include: Flexible work: Full-day sessions on weekdays only (no weekends, no on-call). Excellent remuneration: $600 per hour plus 12.4% superannuation (approximately $764 per hour total). Multiple locations: Melbourne, South East, and South West regions, Geelong and Ballarat. Supportive team: work under the guidance of a senior academic anaesthetist, alongside an experienced Director of Nursing (ex-hospital theatre manager) and dedicated dental teams. Quality & safety focus: practice in a well-supported mobile theatre environment under the Victorian Department of Health's Mobile Anaesthesia framework. Recently re‑accredited, ensuring high standards of patient care and safety. About the role: As a Paediatric Anaesthetist in our team, you will administer general anaesthesia for paediatric dental procedures in a mobile setting. You will maintain the highest standards of anaesthetic care, bringing hospital-grade safety and protocols into dental clinics. This role involves close collaboration with paediatric dentists and nursing staff to deliver safe, efficient anaesthesia services that improve access to care for children. About you: You are a specialist anaesthetist (FANZCA or equivalent) registered with AHPRA, with experience or interest in paediatric anaesthesia. You value quality, safety, and teamwork.
