Come join our team to make a difference in the NSW public sector Vacancy : Engagement Officer, PID, Clerk Grade 7 / 8, Public Interest Disclosures Unit – Systems Oversight Branch Location : Sydney CBD with hybrid and flexible working options. Employment : Ongoing, talent pool will be created Salary Range : Up to $132,021 Package includes salary ($106,025 - $117,363), employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading The Role The Engagement Officer, PID contributes to stakeholder engagement initiatives, such as the PID Community of Practice, which assist agencies and public officials understand and implement the Public Interest Disclosures Act 2022 (the PID Act), and which ensure the Ombudsman is meeting its functions under the PID Act. The PID Engagement Officer will help to build productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and will provide high level analysis back to the PID Unit about the issues facing stakeholders, and work collaboratively to develop strategies to address them. This will inform future programs of work across the PID Unit. The PID Engagement Officer will work to ensure that agencies are engaged with strategically and effectively to facilitate the provision of high quality and responsive information regarding the PID Act. About you You understand the statutory functions and work of the NSW Ombudsman. You have a demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team. You have excellent communication skills, and the ability to communicate well with our diverse stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to prepare correspondence, reports, briefings and submissions. Ability to assist with the development and implementation of effective stakeholder engagement plans, initiatives and strategies. What can we offer? The assessment process will be conducted by a standard panel assessment process. A recruitment pool may be created through this recruitment process.
