Join Miwatj Health as an SEWB Case Manager and support clients across East Arnhem Land living with mental illness through holistic, culturally safe and trauma‑informed care. In this role, you will provide case management to clients in a trauma‑informed, strength‑based approach with the aim of building their capacity and addressing their needs as identified in their case plan. It aims to complement existing services such as clinical mental health and other existing supports, including informal caregivers. This is a full‑time, fixed‑term role, until 30 June 2026. This role requires regular travel to remote communities across East Arnhem Land, including travel on small aircraft. Established in 1992, we’re committed to securing quality health care services across the East Arnhem and enabling YolÅ‹u powered community health and wellbeing. Miwatj provides culturally appropriate, comprehensive primary health care to over 6,000 remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander residents across 3 East Arnhem wards. With a Head Office in Nhulunbuy, Miwatj also manages a Corporate Office in Darwin, 7 fixed clinics across the East Arnhem region, and dedicated outreach teams who travel to 3 additional locations. To succeed in this role, you will bring a strong commitment to Aboriginal Community Control and self‑determination, along with a deep understanding of the issues faced by YolÅ‹u people living in remote communities. You will have demonstrate understanding of principles of person‑centred care, trauma‑informed care and recovery‑oriented practice with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the SEWB / Community Services sector; Completion of accredited / industry‑based training courses equivalent to a Certificate IV in Community Services / Mental Health & AOD or working towards achieving this.
