Job Description The Medical Advisor will be responsible for partnering with the Marketing Lead to build out the brand strategy. They will be specifically accountable for the medical affairs strategy of the designated therapeutic area and will play a vital role in designing and implementing a Medical Affairs plan to provide scientific support for marketed products and products in development. Role Responsibilities Develop and implement the medical affairs strategy, supply medical insight and safety oversight into promotional material along with learning materials for internal and external use and actively contribute medical, safety and scientific input to relevant internal Brand(s) and Managed Markets teams regarding product strategy. Actively contribute to medical input for local investigator‑initiated research (ISR) and support global medical and clinical activities with global therapeutic area physicians. Exchange Scientific Data: Set up scientific communication strategy, set up medical activities plan aligned with business objectives, work with experts to understand current clinical practice, develop integrated KOL list, partner with external stakeholders, work with leading physicianBes and patient advocacy groups, and maintain relationships with KOLs. Strategic Internal Partner: Utilise KOL input to support Clinical Development Teams, support Clinical Operations, collaborate with Regulatory, Market Access, HEOR leads, provide training, and ensure compliance with safety reporting. Generate Evidence: Work with HEOR and Market Access leads to identify data gaps and develop plans, work with KOLs to support ISR submissions. Therapeutic Area General Management: Prepare and manage budgets, manage third‑party vendors, manage patient access programmes, drive medical excellence in field operations. Qualifications PhD, MBBS, PharmD with significant experience in clinical trials and oncology therapeutics in solid tumour indications. Experience in medical affairs, haematology, oncology or immunology with proven track record in commercial, medical and/or clinical development strategies. Significant experience in a cross‑functional role (e.g., HEOR). Strong relationships with external scientific experts and Key Opinion Leaders. Understanding of applicable rules and regulations in Australia and New Zealand. Ability to translate and align commercial and scientific goals. Highest ethical standards in corporate medical governance. Excellent written and oral communication skills. English proficiency required. Ability to travel interstate and internationally.
