Senior Finance and Business Officer – Child and Adolescent Health Service Help drive meaningful reform that supports better care for Western Australian children and families. Position Profile The Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS) is seeking an experienced Senior Finance and Business Officer to join our Resource Management team. The role will support financial sustainability, coordinate business planning activities, and enable service areas to reach their financial and operational goals. Reporting to the Director of Resource Management, you will work closely with stakeholders across finance, infrastructure, digital health, workforce teams, service areas and external bodies to align, comply and inform decision‑making across three key areas. Key Responsibilities Oversee business planning and performance: support service areas through the budget process, contribute to service planning, identify, develop, test and evaluate reform opportunities, analyse performance indicators, track and report outcomes, and provide regular updates to the Finance Committee. Business case development: coordinate end‑to‑end business case development including prioritisation frameworks and financial tables, and coordinate submissions to Treasury. Financial and business reform: lead identification, coordination and implementation of financial and business reform initiatives, provide expert guidance within the Finance team on financial reform matters, and review internal policies and guidance documents. Provide high‑level business management advice to the Director of Resource Management and departments across CAHS. Support the Executive Director, Finance and Corporate in finance operations, including reporting, accounting, policy, audit and budget development. Support CAHS service areas to monitor budgets, track efficiencies, report outcomes and respond to financial queries from the Department of Health and Treasury. Prepare and present reports, papers and recommendations to Finance Committees and senior executives. Manage key information systems to ensure managers have timely and accurate data for service, workforce and financial decisions. Support reform and system improvements, such as adoption of new accounting standards. Qualifications & Requirements Experience in business planning, budgeting and financial modelling. Knowledge of quality improvement and risk management principles. Strong relationship‑building skills and ability to work collaboratively. Excellent analytical and communication skills.
