Senior Software Engineer – C++ / Embedded Linux | Sydney, Hybrid I’m looking for an experienced C++ Engineer who’s passionate about building software in an IoT environment, connecting to devices. You’ll be part of a tight-knit team developing the platform that powers next‑gen IoT products used by millions of people around the world. This isn’t just another coding job; you’ll work across design, development, and delivery for a world‑class embedded platform, collaborating with engineers from across the globe to make sure everything runs seamlessly. Senior Software Engineer Responsibilities Build and maintain a modern C++ software platform that powers connected consumer devices. Help shape new features and product capabilities from idea to implementation. Contribute to improving software development processes and tooling. Work closely with an international team. Be hands‑on with embedded Linux environments — debugging, testing, and optimising performance. Senior Software Engineer Requirements 6+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 4 years in modern C++. A few years of experience developing in a Linux environment. Familiarity with GStreamer or other audio frameworks. Solid understanding of software design principles. Proactive, independent, and not afraid to get things done. Understanding of networking concepts — TCP/UDP, sockets, multicast/unicast. Experience debugging with tools like GDB and Valgrind. Some exposure to CI/CD pipelines. This is a fulltime position, based in Sydney, 2 days a week. Here, you’ll get to work on real products used by millions of people worldwide.
