About the role We currently have a number of full‑time, permanent opportunities in regional Queensland and NSW. Reporting to your Project Manager, you will work alongside a supportive and collaborative team and contribute to the successful delivery of civil construction projects. Implement or create innovative, cost‑efficient construction methodologies and techniques. Work actively with Supervisors and the workforce to eliminate the need to repeat activities. Assist the Superintendent and Supervisor with tasks delegated by the Project Engineer/Manager. Continuously monitor the program throughout the life of the project, ensuring milestones are completed on time. Assist Superintendents and Supervisors in planning the resources required to achieve the construction program (plant, labour, and subcontractors) and sourcing. Assist with planning and implementing the procurement of materials and subcontractors to meet construction programs. Work with Supervisors to recognise variations, quantity changes, and additional scope of works for appropriate variation correspondence. Monitor day costs for activities with Supervisors and adjust if unit costs are excessive. Provide information for the end‑of‑month project costs report with the Project Engineer/Manager. Implement environmental controls where the risk to the environment requires monitoring. About you Ideally, you will possess the following: A Civil Engineering degree. Experience in cost engineering/productivity on civil earthworks or complex infrastructure/road/bridge projects. Sound technical knowledge. Proven ability to work as part of a team driven by success. Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. Self‑motivated and adaptable with a can‑do attitude. Willingness to travel and work away from home when required.
