Project Engineer

McCosker Contracting has an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer to join our team. This position is based on a project site located in Gladstone, Queensland. Immediate start This position will provide effective engineering support to the project team to achieve completion of contracted works in accordance with project and client requirements. This role will be responsible for coordinating project programming, reporting, and controls within timeframes, ensuring a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. To be successful you will have: Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil engineering or relevant experience Strong knowledge of civil construction standards, legislation, and associated practices Experience in project management and implementing client programs Able to liaise, mediate, and negotiate with a range of internal and external stakeholders Expertise in reading and interpreting drawings, specifications, and schedules Experience in developing and implementing quality programs and controls Expertise in communication, including developing project documents and reports Experienced in MS Office and P6/Project Management Systems (beginner to intermediate) About you: Critical analysis and problem-solving skills Use of confidentiality and discretion when dealing with people Able to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders Self-motivated in the completion of tasks Able to manage time effectively, using strong organisational skills Capable of accurate, detailed work Lead by example, acting ethically and with integrity Treat all people with respect Desire to work cooperatively in a team environment to achieve goals Actively comply with legislation and related policies, procedures, and processes Perform tasks only when competent to do so under the circumstances Communicate effectively and maintain a positive image Benefits: Company funded Income Protection Insurance Monthly Recognition Award Program Corporate Health Insurance discount, and discounted Yaralla Fitness Centre for Gladstone Wellbeing and Employee Assistance Program Employee Referral Program About McCoskers McCosker are experts in the civil construction industry offering a diverse range of services to the mining, construction, building, gas, and industrial sectors.
