Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist @ ALOIS Solutions | Advanced Excel, Staffing, Leadership Work location: Melbourne, VIC Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and manage cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will have strong cloud architecture skills, hands-on experience with Azure services, and the ability to support scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud environments. Key Responsibilities: Design, configure, and deploy cloud infrastructure using Azure services (VMs, VNETs, Storage, App Services, AKS, ACR, Functions, etc.). Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using ARM, Bicep, or Terraform. Implement scalable and highly available cloud architectures. Security & Compliance Configure Azure security tools (Azure AD, Defender for Cloud, NSGs, Firewalls, Key Vault). Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements. Implement identity and access management (RBAC, PIM, Conditional Access). Automation & DevOps Automate provisioning and deployments using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins. Build CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deployments. Manage configuration management using PowerShell, Python, or Bash. Monitoring & Optimization Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights. Optimize cloud resources for cost, performance, and reliability. Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure issues. Maintenance & Support Perform upgrades, patching, and ongoing maintenance. Support disaster recovery and backup strategies (ASR, Azure Backup). Provide technical guidance to development and operations teams. Required Skills & Qualifications: 5–7+ years of experience in cloud engineering or system administration. Strong expertise with Microsoft Azure services and architecture. Hands‑on experience with IaC tools: Terraform, ARM, Bicep. Proficiency in scripting languages: PowerShell, Bash, Python. Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub, or similar CI/CD platforms. Solid understanding of networking: VNETs, VPNs, ExpressRoute, Load Balancers, DNS. Knowledge of containerization and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes (AKS). Familiarity with cloud security best practices.
