We currently have a secure casual position available for a Medium Rigid (MR) Driver - based out of our Mordialloc Food Service distribution facility in Melbourne. We are looking for a professional, experienced MR Driver with a good driving record to perform multi-drop deliveries of milk, dairy and food service products to cafes, restaurants, clubs and our industrial customers. The successful applicant will be rostered for up to 5 shifts per week, Monday through Friday, 5:30 am to 1:30 pm. This is a secure position working with an experienced and friendly team in a busy and dynamic Food Service environment, with an opportunity to progress to full time employment. With our strong customer service focus, overtime opportunities are regularly available. Key Requirements / Skills Must have a valid heavy vehicle licence (MR or higher) Ability to follow written and verbal instructions closely Be highly focused on safety, quality, hygiene, delivery and efficiency Good customer service and effective communication skills Troubleshooting skills and ability to use initiative Sound understanding of COR (Transport Chain of Responsibility) Flexibility to work shift work, including some occasional weekend work Ability to work overtime Ability to work unsupervised, and also as part of a team Physical capability to undertake multiple drop deliveries Responsibilities Detailed inventory control Picking orders during the delivery route Chain of Responsibility and load restraint Quality, safety and hygiene control Manual handling / trolleying of product Monitoring and reducing waste Riverina Fresh offers competitive above‐award rates to skilled, experienced and qualified team members including applicable shift allowances and overtime rates.
