Great Southern Specialist Centre – Albany WA We are seeking a part-time Ophthalmology Assessor to join our team at the Great Southern Specialist Centre in Albany, Western Australia. As an Ophthalmology Assessor, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive eye examinations and assessments to patients, ensuring they receive the highest quality of eye care. What you'll be doing Conducting thorough eye examinations, by using diagnostic equipment to evaluate patients' visual acuity, eye health, and any underlying conditions Collaborating with the ophthalmologist to support individualised treatment plans for patients as per their clinical protocols Educating patients on their eye health, treatment options, and preventive measures Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records Assisting with the coordination and scheduling of patient appointments What we're looking for Experience in an ophthalmic, healthcare, or optical role (e.g., pre-screener, optical assistant, ophthalmic technician) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and the healthcare team Demonstrated commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centred care Proficient in the use of electronic medical record systems and ophthalmological equipment What we offer At the Great Southern Specialist Centre, we are committed to creating a supportive and rewarding work environment for our employees.
