Senior Corporate Lawyer on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract . Reporting to the General Counsel, you will contribute to the development of corporate initiatives and undertake transactional and advisory work in areas including corporate, contractual, Government regulation, property, trade practices, insurance, privacy, intellectual property law and general business and operational issues.In this role, you’ll play a significant role in:Legislative and regulatory requirements across the various departments in the businessResearch, analysis, proposals and submissions on business development initiativesLegal and gaming compliance, particularly the co-ordination, supervision and support of the organisation’s legal compliance programs, training, auditing and reportingBeing the organisation’s Principal Privacy Officer; andDevelopment and evaluation of operational policies and procedures across the organisationAbout youYou’ll bring the following:Post admission experience at either a private law firm, or in an in-house roleDemonstrated negotiating and commercial drafting skillsAbility to formulate, implement and manage compliance functions in a relatively complex and diverse legal and regulatory environmentAbility to interpret legislation and convey legal and regulatory requirements, as well as provide advice and guidance on policy development to a range of business unitsStrategic outlook with strong research, analytical and report writing skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong commitment to working in a team structureAdditional Information
