About the role The Home Care Assistant delivers individual, personalised care and assistance to clients so that they may continue to live in their home and focus on their quality of life. The Home Care Assistant’s responsibilities may include: Monitoring and reporting on client's condition Assisting with transportation Performing household cleaning Supporting personal hygiene Preparing meals Other health and wellness services As a Home Care Assistant, you will demonstrate a commitment to best practice care and ensure that all in‑home care is provided in a personalised, caring and respectful way in accordance with Respect’s policy and procedures and aligned to the client care plans, goals and health outcomes. Requirements To be successful in the role, applicants will need to demonstrate: A genuine passion to make a difference in aged care community services The ability to work independently and as part of a team Respect for all, regardless of background, gender, age, religion, race, or sexual orientation Excellent interpersonal, communication, writing and computer skills. A flexible approach – we flex with you Confident using electronic communication and applications – We keep you up to date with information and work with you to learn the systems COVID vaccination – a must have in the Home Care industry Valid CPR and First Aid Certificate III in Ageing, Certificate III in Individual Support or similar qualification desirable Full driver’s license and suitable transportation. Ability to provide client transportation Available on Monday to Friday, and occasionally on weekends.
