ABOUT THE ROLE Brisbane – Part‑time – Ongoing Golf Australia is committed to making golf safe, inclusive and positive for everyone – especially children, young people and vulnerable adults. We’re seeking a proactive Child Safeguarding Club Support Officer to partner with Queensland clubs, strengthen safeguarding culture, ensure compliance and support the Level‑Up Safeguarding Program. RESPONSIBILITIES Support clubs to meet Queensland Child Safety Standards and foster welcoming, safe environments. Build club personnel capability through training, education and support. Monitor compliance and provide actionable insights to improve safeguarding practices. Promote a proactive safeguarding culture across Queensland golf clubs, reinforcing Golf Queensland’s reputation as a leader in child protection. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Excellent communication, record‑keeping and digital skills. Experience coordinating or delivering training programs. Current Working with Children Check (or equivalent) and/or National Police Check. Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Education, Sport Management or a related field. Knowledge of safeguarding legislation, the National Integrity Framework and QLD Child Safe Standards. Experience in child protection/safeguarding or community/sport settings.
