The Opportunity A rare opportunity has become available within the Cherrie Civil team for a full time on site role for an experienced Project Engineer to join our team and contribute to our continued success. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving the culture of Cherrie Civil Engineering, while managing project timelines, budgets, and client relationships effectively. What You’ll Do Plan, coordinate, and deliver civil construction projects from concept through to completion — ensuring works are executed safely, efficiently, and to specification. Lead and support site supervisors, foremen, and graduate engineers to achieve outstanding safety, quality, and environmental outcomes. Oversee day-to-day site operations, scheduling, and resource management to ensure timelines and budgets are met. Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and procurement activities, ensuring compliance with company procedures and contract requirements. Monitor and report on project progress, risks, costs, and variations — proactively identifying opportunities for improvement and mitigation. Drive quality assurance processes, including ITPs, audits, and compliance with ISO standards. Collaborate closely with clients and stakeholders to maintain strong relationships and deliver successful project outcomes. Review project documentation, design plans, and risk assessments to ensure accuracy and alignment with company standards. Lead toolbox talks, site meetings, and performance discussions that promote communication, accountability, and continuous improvement. Contribute to business growth by promoting innovation, sharing best practices, and supporting the professional development of your team. About You Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering 5–10 years’ experience in civil engineering Currently reside in Sydney and be able to travel across sites Proven ability to manage site activities, teams, and subcontractors Strong understanding of WHS, QA, and environmental management systems Excellent communication and leadership skills A proactive mindset with a focus on risk mitigation, quality, and continual improvement Why Join Us?
