About the company:Our client is a Queensland based firm that specializes in the carbon and agricultural space. For over ten years, their dedication has been to supporting producers and landholders in carbon sequestration efforts and improving soil health. With a skilled team comprising scientists, carbon management specialists, agricultural professionals, and soil experts, they are now looking for a Senior to Principal level Soil Scientist to join their team. This role will be based from their Brisbane office.Key Responsibilities:Lead soil carbon projects and develop innovative solutions to enhance soil health and productivity.Provide expert advice on carbon farming techniques, including carbon sequestration, soil management, and land-use optimization.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design and implement sustainable agriculture strategies that maximize carbon storage while enhancing agricultural productivity.Conduct field trials, data analysis, and interpretation to assess the effectiveness of carbon farming practices and inform decision-making.Develop and maintain relationships with industry stakeholders, government agencies, and research institutions to stay abreast of emerging trends and opportunities in soil carbon and sustainable agriculture.Act as a subject matter expert, delivering presentations, workshops, and training sessions to internal and external stakeholders.Qualifications and Experience:A academic degree in Soil Science, Agricultural Science, Environmental Science, or a related field.Experience in soil carbon research, with a focus on carbon farming and sustainable agriculture practices.Proven track record of leading research projects, conducting field trials, and publishing in peer-reviewed journals.Strong understanding of soil chemistry, biology, and physics, with expertise in soil carbon dynamics and measurement techniques.Experience in agricultural extension, stakeholder engagement, and project management.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences.Demonstrated leadership abilities and a collaborative approach to teamwork.If this role sounds like something you, or someone you know might be interested in, please apply directly via LinkedIn or reach out us via LVI Associates.
