An opportunity exists for a Maintenance Technician to manage the Total Productive Maintenance program within the bedding manufacturing facility. This hands on role requires day to day maintenance, repair and servicing of machinery used in production at our Canning Vale factory and liaising with external contractors and equipment suppliers to ensure continuity of production. The Role: Manage the TPM program that supports the overall objectives of the business. Develop and deliver training for production employees to maintain equipment. Have an active role in the management and operation of the internal safety systems. Support the development of recommendations for improving production processes by minimizing risks, costs and waste; increasing yields and productivity; and improving the quality and consistency of final products. Establish relationships with national and international counterparts to maintain a critical spares register. As part of our CI team, look at the business from a technical perspective observing production flows, factory layouts and inefficiencies to help determine where improvements could be made. Some of the goals would be to help increase maximum capacity allowing for future growth, scheduling maintenance around seasonal production fluctuations. Skills: Passion for developing others through excellence in leadership and developing operator maintenance schedules. A proven ability in delivery of process engineering projects. Experience with Safety, Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles. Proven experience in planning and delivering a Continuous Improvement plan, including a proactive preventative maintenance program. Manage maintenance budget ensuring value and benefit for expenditure. Management of main and third party maintenance providers and their Service Level Agreement. Management of site maintenance purchasing functions, with a particular view on reducing the cost of directly purchased spares. Leadership - provide structure and direction on KPI's relevant to a proactive maintenance functions through continuous improvement, MMS and Lean principles. The Requirements: In order to be successful for this position, you will be a hands on, mechanical trade qualified tradesperson with a background that includes rearranging factories, optimising facilities and driving valuable change. Further qualifications and experience should include: Passion for developing others through excellence in leadership. Experience with Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles. Mechanical trade or other trade qualifications. Solid background and proven track record in maintenance and/or engineering. #J-18808-Ljbffr
