GOLDFULL Management Pty Ltd – Townsville QLD Become the Weddings & Social Events Executive at Mercure Townsville, a full‑time role based in Townsville, QLD. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of weddings and social events, from initial client consultations to day‑of coordination. This position plays a crucial role in delivering an exceptional experience for our clients and their guests. What you’ll be doing Liaise with clients to understand their vision and preferences, and provide expert guidance to bring their event to life Source and manage vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure seamless coordination of all event elements Create detailed event timelines and floor plans, and communicate these to the client and vendor team Oversee event setup and execution, troubleshoot any issues that arise, and ensure a smooth experience for the client and their guests Maintain strong relationships with a network of trusted vendors and venues Manage event budgets and stay within agreed client spending limits Provide exceptional customer service and be a trusted advisor to our clients What we’re looking for Minimum 2‑3 years of experience in event management, preferably in the weddings and social events sector Proven track record of delivering successful, high‑profile events and exceeding client expectations Exceptional organisational and project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and vendors Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to think on your feet to address any challenges that arise Keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering a flawless event experience Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and event management software What we offer At Mercure Townsville, we are committed to supporting our employees’ personal and professional growth.
