Job Summary We are UMG, the Universal Music Group, a world‑leading music company operating in more than 60 countries. We identify and develop recording artists and songwriters and produce, distribute, and promote the most critically acclaimed and commercially successful music worldwide. As the Business Analyst you will be part of the team responsible for building and supporting core business applications for UMG Australia. With your proven BA experience and application support skills, you will increase the value from existing systems and identify new opportunities to deliver value across various teams. Job Functions Managing business applications day‑to‑day, resolving support cases, and interacting with global IT teams. Administering systems for continual improvements and keeping the systems aligned with industry and business needs. DBA work: managing data ingestion, storage, and representation for insight and analysis. Business analysis: partnering on process mapping, guiding technology options, designing solutions, and defining benefits for business case approval. Updating technology stack to leverage new tools, reducing risk and cost. Staying current with technological developments, learning, sharing information, and fostering collaboration. Managing relationships with local business, global IT community, and external partners. Job Requirements Skills/Abilities SQL skills – db admin, stored procedure development, scheduling; cloud solutions from AWS, Azure, GBQ and MS SQL Server. Salesforce.com administration / development and managing custom‑built business applications. Business Intelligence platform experience: Google Looker, Business Objects, MODLER, Domo or similar. ETL/automation tools for data integration, automation, and building robust processes. Project management skills, high attention to detail, and experience with collaboration tools such as Monday.com. High initiative, self‑motivated, enthusiastic about learning and identifying improvement opportunities. Team player, friendly, respectful, and open to mentoring within a tech team. Change management experience. Experience / Education Bachelor's degree in IT related field. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT with a focus on BA and App Support work. Experience translating technical terms for end users and business users, with a proven track record of positive impact.
