Base pay range A$115,000.00/yr - A$115,000.00/yr About the role In this role as a Project Finance Lead, you will play a pivotal part in shaping CARE Australia’s financial strategy and driving excellence across our programs. As a senior leader within the Finance Leadership Team, you’ll guide a high‑performing Project Finance team, championing best practices in governance, donor compliance, and financial stewardship. You’ll oversee project funding to ensure maximum impact and value for money, while acting as a trusted partner to our International Programs team, Country Offices, external stakeholders, and the wider CARE confederation. Qualifications Strong understanding of INGO donor contract management, compliance frameworks, and project‑based accounting practices in an international development context. Energy, vision, and people skills to lead teams, meet strategic goals, and drive meaningful change. Experience managing project finances in an organisation of similar scale, recognised for delivering excellent internal service. Ability to turn complex financial concepts into clear, actionable insights for senior leaders and non‑finance audiences.
