We are currently seeking experienced Kitchen Hands to join theteam providing support services at Bethanie Dalyellup Aged CareHome. Bethanie Dalyellup is our newest site, with 120 beds acrosssix small houses providing 24 hour care for people with diverseneeds including dementia, palliative care and high carerequirements. This role is offered on a permanent, part time basis. 15 –20 hours per week with morning and afternoon shifts available. As a Kitchen Hand, your responsibilities may include serving meals, food preparation or assisting in the onsite cafe. To be successful in this role, you will have experience or aninterest in food preparation and be of a friendly nature, asinteraction with our residents is core to our culture. You may alsohave the opportunity to be trained in and work across the roles ofDomestic Assistant / Cleaner and Laundry Assistant. About You Possess a passion for or previous experience working as aKitchen Hand, ideally in an aged care, hospital or similarenvironment Have a ‘can do’ attitude and a genuinecompassion for our residents Reliable with a strong work ethic Ability to work both independently and as part of ateam Willingness to uphold the Mission, Vision and Values of TheBethanie Group Willingness to obtain relevant vaccinations (minimum of onecovid vaccination and annual flu vaccination) Current National Police Clearance (or willingness to applyfor one) The Role Ensuring responsible work practices of food preparation,kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standards Ensuring required ingredients are available daily Assisting in the preparation and serving of meals Maintaining all utensils, equipment, work benches andgeneral surrounds in a clean and safe condition Collecting and washing pots, pans, crockery andcutlery Working with Bethanie Many of us work because we want to make adifference.
