Transmission Engineer Initial 12 months contract based in Perth CBD Based in Perth CBD – hybrid WFH and office environment Seeking a Transmission Engineer with Nokia Wavence experience for microwave projects in mining. The role We are seeking a Transmission Engineer to join our team and support a major mining and resources project. You will play a critical role in overseeing vendor engagements, reviewing technical documentation, ensuring compliance with safety and engineering standards, and providing technical assurance for transmission systems. Key Responsibilities Represent the company at vendor and site engagements, including FAT, SAT, UAT, and commissioning. Review and approve vendor documentation, including designs, test plans, and implementation strategies. Follow Change Management processes, including CAB submissions. Work closely with engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of transmission systems. Provide technical assurance and act as a point of contact for all transmission-related technical queries. Ensure compliance with safety regulations for both office and site-based operations. Skills & Experience Experience in the mining, oil & gas, or resources industry is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of Microwave backhaul systems and Point-to-Point microwave radio design (6 to 23GHz, Nokia Wavence preferred). Familiarity with HTZ Telecom microwave planning tools. Understanding of ACMA licensing requirements for Point-to-Point Microwave radio. Ability to review structural analysis reports and antenna mounting arrangements. Experience with PDH/SDH Transmission equipment design, construction, and commissioning (Nokia Dynanet and Ericsson SPO/OMS exposure beneficial).
