The Opportunity We're seeking a highly capable Accounts Officer/Bookkeeper to take complete ownership of our bills and invoices room across our group of companies. Your mission? Manage our financial operations end‑to‑end, ensuring every dollar is tracked, every reconciliation is accurate, and our Chief of Finance has complete confidence in the numbers. You'll be the expert who maintains our financial records, catches issues before they upscale, and keeps cash flow on track. Reports to: Chief of Finance Schedule: 4 days per week (part‑time) What You'll Own Financial Processing & Accuracy Own the complete bills and invoices workflow through Xero across multiple entities Manage end‑to‑end payroll processing Deliver account reconciliations that provide total financial clarity Cross‑check transactions, catch discrepancies, and maintain impeccable records Cash Flow & Compliance Monitor debtors and proactively chase outstanding payments Manage remittances and coordinate payment schedules strategically Support BAS preparation and liaise with our external accountant Flag financial issues before they become problems The Numbers Expert Become the go‑to person for all things bookkeeping and financial operations Maintain systems that work seamlessly across our growing business group Provide general bookkeeping support as the business evolves You're the Right Fit If You Own your craft – You take pride in accuracy and wouldn't dream of a mismatched reconciliation Move with purpose – You process work efficiently without sacrificing quality Stay ahead of deadlines – BAS due dates, payroll runs, payment schedules—you’re always on top of it Work independently – You don't need hand‑holding; you see what needs doing and make it happen Think like a business owner – You understand how good bookkeeping impacts cash flow and decision‑making Requirements Essential Strong Xero experience (you know it inside and out) Bookkeeping experience High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Self‑directed work style with strong organisational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities without dropping the ball Bonus Construction or trades industry experience Accounting degree Why Join Us?
