Dump Truck Operator – Yilgarn Thiess Pty Location: Perth, Australia – Goldfields WA, Pilbara, WA Job Type: Permanent Full Time About the Project Thiess, Yilgarn Iron Ore Project is a Brownfields mining operation that includes the sites of Koolyanobbing, Windarling, and Parker Range. Koolyanobbing is in the Shire of Yilgarn, Western Australia, 54 km north-northeast of the town of Southern Cross. Responsibilities Operating machinery efficiently, safely, and competently to ensure maximum output Complying with Thiess's policies and procedures Responding to instructions from Mining Supervisor Effectively positioning machinery to allow for efficient loading Setting and maintaining high housekeeping standards Carrying out pre-start checks Qualifications Minimum of 2 years plus experience as a Dump Truck Operator in production mining operation Equivalent or specific experience operating Komatsu 785 Experience in a hard rock mining operation desirable Valid Australian Drivers License Proven compliance and commitment to health and safety at all times What Thiess can do for you 2:1 roster (7D7N7RR) | FIFO Perth to Southern Cross plus a 30 minute bus ride to site DIDO roster from surrounding towns Salary sacrifice options available for applicants outside WAP Permanent full-time role with development and upskilling opportunities Full camp facilities provided Range of corporate discounts including health insurance (Medibank), travel & retail products About Us We partner with our clients to deliver excellence in open cut and underground mining in Australia, Asia and the Americas.
