NT Police, Fire and Emergency Services – Darwin NT Administrative Officer 7 - Remuneration Package Range $134,227 - $144,271 (including salary $96,620 - $107,721) Risk Management and Internal Audit Division, Darwin. One full‑time ongoing vacancy is available. The Role As a Senior Auditor, you will lead the development and delivery of high‑level governance and compliance across the Department including the design and implementation of internal audit programs, conducting audits and reviews, and preparing clear, actionable reports. You’ll also be responsible for identifying, investigating, and reporting on governance‑related matters to support continuous improvement, while contributing to risk management planning and ensuring compliance with departmental standards. About us The Risk Management and Internal Audit Division strengthens governance across the NT Police. We embed a risk management framework at all levels, identify and manage operational and strategic risks, and deliver internal audits to evaluate controls and drive continuous improvement. Our work ensures accountability, compliance, and supports the agency’s strategic objectives. About you You’re committed to strengthening governance and driving accountability. To be successful you’ll have : Proven understanding of governance issues and their application in an organisational setting, including assurance, risk management, and investigations. Proven strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to clearly express ideas. Well‑developed strategic thinking, analytical and problem‑solving skills, supported by high standards of integrity, ethics, and confidentiality. Proven ability to build and maintain effective networks with a range of stakeholders to link governance activities to departmental objectives. Ability to interact effectively with people of diverse cultures.
