Assist in menu planning and development, including daily specials, and help estimate food and labour needs. Ensure each dish meets high standards for taste, presentation, and portion consistency. Maintain excellent kitchen hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety standards, and ensure staff follow hygiene regulations. Manage daily food preparation, stock rotation, and ingredient storage to ensure freshness and minimize waste; may also freeze or preserve foods. Collaborate effectively with front‑of‑house staff and management to resolve food preparation issues and ensure smooth service. Supervise, train, and support junior kitchen staff, including demonstrating cooking techniques and advising on procedures. What you should have Proven experience as a chef, ideally in a Chinese or Asian cuisine restaurant. Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards. Able to work efficiently in a fast‑paced kitchen. Attention to detail and commitment to quality. Good teamwork and communication with kitchen and front‑of‑house staff. Strong time management and organisational skills.
