The Opportunity Contract - until end of 2026 Hybrid, Melbourne We’re looking for a Business Analyst consultant with Data Architecture & Engineering expertise to bridge business needs and technical delivery. This hybrid role combines stakeholder engagement and requirements analysis with hands‑on involvement in designing and enabling scalable, secure data platforms. You’ll work across the full data lifecycle—from requirements gathering and modelling to solution design and operational reliability—ensuring that data products meet business objectives and technical standards. What You’ll Do Business Analysis: Capture and document requirements, model processes, and define acceptance criteria. Solution Design: Translate business needs into architecture diagrams, integration patterns, and governance controls. Data Engineering: Design and maintain data platforms (cloud/hybrid), pipelines (ETL/ELT), and models (star, snowflake, data vault). Analytics Enablement: Prepare curated datasets for BI tools, define KPIs, and monitor data quality. Operations: Implement CI/CD, automate testing, and manage reliability, cost, and documentation. Collaboration: Work with stakeholders to prioritise backlog and deliver high‑impact data products. What You’ll Bring Proven experience in business analysis and data solution design, including requirements gathering and modelling. Hands‑on capability in data architecture and engineering (cloud platforms, ETL/ELT, data modelling). Familiarity with BI tools and analytics enablement practices. Strong communication skills—able to run workshops and produce clear documentation. Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in ICT, data, or related fields.
