Today, YOT Group operates a standout fleet including YOT Club, YOT Blue, YOT 75, YOT Vice, and YOT Capri, hosting more than 80,000 guests every year. We're redefining hospitality and premium entertainment on the water. As we continue to grow, we're looking for an Assistant Manager (2IC) to support venue operations with opportunities to transition into the Venue Manager role within your first six months. This role is perfect for someone with strong leadership capability, exceptional service standards and a passion for delivering unforgettable guest experiences on a large scale. What You'll Be Doing Venue Operations & Event Delivery Oversee the setup, readiness and smooth execution of all YOT Club events Support the team in delivering premium service across high-volume day and night charters Troubleshoot operational issues across bar, AV, equipment, and on-board logistics Maintain compliance with RSA, safety procedures and vessel operating requirements Liaise professionally with guests, contractors and external authorities when required Must be available to work day and night shifts to support high-volume charter operations People Leadership & Staff Development Lead, mentor and support bar, service and operational staff Promote a positive team culture and uphold service and presentation standards Assist with training, onboarding and performance guidance Support conflict resolution and staff wellbeing in alignment with company policies Guest Experience & Brand Excellence Drive beverage sales and on-board spend through upselling and premium offerings Assist in developing new cocktails, specials and experience initiatives Identify opportunities to elevate service, efficiency and guest engagement Contribute ideas for events, product development and operational improvement Administration & Operational Support Assist with rostering and labour management within department budgets Ensure accurate timesheets, expenses and operational reporting Manage stock levels, equipment needs and general venue readiness Support event briefs, debriefs and communication with internal departments What We're Looking For Minimum 3 years experience in hospitality leadership, nightlife or event operations Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage fast-paced environments Confidence in staff leadership, delegation and conflict resolution Understanding of RSA, compliance and liquor licensing in QLD (Maritime knowledge favourable but not required) Ability to troubleshoot operational issues calmly and efficiently Growth mindset with a desire to step into the Venue Manager role Professional communication, high presentation standards and a hands‑on approach Why Join the YOT Group Crew?
