New Service: FutureFIT - Empowering Young Jobseekers in Wyndham, Hume, and Hobsons Bay Big Group Hug and Ready Set are proud to launch FutureFIT, a new workforce readiness program designed to support young people aged 16‑24 as they take their first steps into employment. This six‑month pilot programme runs July‑December 2025 and will be delivered from Big Group Hugs Tarneit Hub. FutureFIT offers free wardrobe styling and interview‑ready clothing to young people facing financial hardship from the cities of Wyndham, Hume, and Hobsons Bay. As a FutureFIT Stylist You will help young people look the part and feel confident for their future by assisting them in curating an interview‑ready wardrobe, including the provision of clothing and styling tips – all free of charge. What we provide One‑on‑one sessions to help youth select appropriate outfits for interviews Style support and confidence‑building conversations Supportive volunteers who listen and guide without judgment Why it matters Many young people simply don’t have the clothing or resources to present professionally at interviews. This programme fills that gap with compassion and community. How it works Sessions are booked in advance (30‑45 minutes) after answering a few simple questions – e.g. type of job, size, preferences Sessions are held on Wednesday afternoons (14:00, initially) Volunteers help youth select interview‑ready clothing Outfits are theirs to keep, bagged and ready to go Volunteers run the service, including setup and pack‑up The pilot programme will run until the end of 2025. You will have the opportunity to: Be involved in a great community organisation that helps children and families in need Meet wonderful people committed to making a difference Gain valuable work experience in customer service and a reference Organisational background Big Group Hug is a volunteer‑driven, not‑for‑profit organisation that supports vulnerable and disadvantaged families. Ready Set is a charitable organisation whose mission is to empower jobseekers facing disadvantage with clothing, accessories, shoes, toiletry items and personalised career coaching. Category Young People Commitment Regular – less than 6 months Type of Work Retail & Sales, Tutoring & Coaching Time Required Weekly commitment 1 pm‑4 pm, Wednesdays from 23 July to mid‑December 2025; plus training.
