About the Role We are seeking a proactive and experienced Risk & Compliance Advisor to support our Group Health & Safety Manager in ensuring compliance with WGX’s Integrated Management System (IMS) and Mine Safety Management System (MSMS). This role plays a key part in driving safety excellence across our operations. Key Responsibilities Implement and verify Critical Risk Management (CRM) controls across operational sites. Facilitate and review Bowtie risk assessments to identify Major Unwanted Events (MUEs) and assess control effectiveness. Conduct internal audits and risk assessments to ensure compliance with statutory obligations and company standards. Provide expert advice on WHS legislation and mining regulatory frameworks. Collaborate with site teams to identify assess and mitigate operational risks. Prepare reports and documentation to support the risk management framework. Contribute to the development and maintenance of Safety Management Systems (SMS). Support contractor compliance assessments using structured audit methodologies. Skills & Experience Underground gold mining industry experience CRM development and implementation Risk management and auditing processes WHS legislative and statutory knowledge (WA mining context) Bowtie assessment facilitation Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Strong communication and interpersonal skills High attention to detail and analytical thinking Ability to work autonomously and within teams Problem‑solving and decision‑making skills Qualifications Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety C Class Drivers Licence Lead Auditor Certification Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) Why Join Us At WGX safety is at the heart of everything we do.
